The Forgotten

Terrorism

Eight Note

Verse One

I have travelled far and wide,
Seen the world through troubled eyes,
I have seen the face of the forgotten.
This secret world untouched by Man
This fragile earth, this fertile land.
This was once the soul of the forgotten.
A sickness slowly creeping in,
The outside world is looking in,
What will soon become of the forgotten?
They trespassed on forbidden land,
A prophet from a far off land,
To save the souls of those who were forgotten.
They are the forgotten ones that no-one knows
They are the forgotten ones that no-one knows

Bridge

This secret world, untouched by Man,
This fragile earth, these ancient lands,
Destroyed by greed and human hands,
This poisoned earth, this poisoned land.

Verse Two

They stole the riches from the earth,
Riches they had known since birth,
Who will hear the cries of the forgotten?
Gentle souls of our creation,
Born in splendid isolation,
This is now the fate of the forgotten.
A sadness falls across the land,
A sorrow no one understands,
The spirits of the souls that were forgotten?
A sickness slowly creeping in,
The outside world is looking in,
What will now become of the forgotten?

About the Song

We have destroyed this earth, destroyed ancient civilizations and cultures in our quest to conquer and rape the earth of it's treasures. I was fortunate enough to visit the Amazon and a tribe that was once cut off from civilization but was forced to embrace the modern world and the thrill-seeking tourist.....guilty as charged
